Dhaka-- (UNB) – The 7th annual meeting of regional steering committee of the Rice-Wheat Consortium (RWC) will be held at Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council here today (Friday).

Main objective of the RWC, an alliance of scientific and technical experts from Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan, is to foster sustainable productivity in rice-wheat farming systems.

The consortium was established in 1994 as an eco-regional initiative of the Consultative Group on International Agriculture Research (CGIAR), said a press release yesterday.
